Abstract
Geosynchronous and polar-orbiting environmental satellites have provided valuable data about our planet for more than 50 years. The Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) satellite monitors clouds, precipitation, and other aspects of the water cycle between 35 degrees North and 35 degrees South. TRMM’s imagery collection provides a vast array of resources that can be used to create lessons and facilitate authentic science research by students.
